Uniform

Basic Uniform

  • Pants, skirts, shorts, dresses: dark blue, tan; or dark colored jeans.
  • Shirts: white or light blue collared shirt; t-shirt with Hazeltine logo
  • Shoes: flat-heel, close toed

Remember that any Hazeltine t-shirt(including our new Rainbow Wizard (Kinder) and Zoo Keeper (1st grade) shirt can be worn as a uniform.

General Guidelines

  • Shorts and Skirts must not be shorter than 2" above the knee.
  • "Skorts" (skirts with shorts underneath), which are easy to play in, are recommended rather than skirts.
  • Very baggy clothing is not allowed.
  • Clothing must not contain offensive or inappropriate messages.
  • Because students engage in physical activities each day, athletic shoes are recommended. High heels and open-toed shoes are not allowed.
  • Large hoop or dangling earrings are not safe and should be worn to school.
  • All shirts and dresses must cover the shoulders. Thin, "spaghetti" straps are not allowed, unless covered at all times by a sweater or jacket.

Student Incentives

  • Each teacher will develop a classroom incentive program to reward students who regularly wear their uniforms. The school administration will periodically reward classes with 100% participation.

Parents will be called to bring a change of clothing if their child wears the following to school:
